ahhhh time is flying by and i'm just realising i might be horribly screwed for next year. i have to pull my socks up man D: oh crud. slack slack slack is that all i can do?! *facepalm*
anyways, had sleepover from sunday to monday (: justine came over to slack at my house lol. loads of jamming (well, me anyways) and falling asleep LOL. and reading spongebob's undersea survival guide! ;D muahaha. for the record, we did do some productive stuff like learn guitar kthx. haha and watch the spongebob movie. plus cat in the hat! (: yay we should do it again sometime :D
helped out for open house today, ushering the parents and all. it was boring... but we got free food! :D hahaha. we got 7 people in 8 HOURS. yes, i took 4 consecutive shifts -.- but kinda entertaining just sitting there and talking. i did 2 guided tours! one with amierah and one on my own. mothers are scary D:
investiture practice tomorrow! but we have a PB design meeting first :D yay for creative brainstorming! except i haven't really um... finished my design yet :X rawr. see i'm slacking again. sigh.
should go listen to motivation proclamation by GC :D motivate meeeeeee (:

it's been a long time :D

went for 2CO class gathering yesterday from 5pm to about 10:35pm and it was really fun :D it really made me notice how much i missed my class. though only about 12 plus people showed up, i think it was really amusing.
we watched shutter LOL. it wasn't that bad actually. you watch the ring, and nothing really freaks you out. i think people screaming freaked me out more than the actual movie. thanks janice for volunteering your house! ;D i miss 2CO man D: we should have a class gathering next year (: with more people :X haha.
thanks to everyone who showed up for the gathering :D it was awesome we should do it again sometime!

eventful ;D

i had a really eventful morning, justine came over and stuff and i actually woke up at 8:30am! :D woohoo.

then, headed to plaza sing to meet liyan, carolyn and chloe to watch the quantum of solace. i'll give that movie a 1.5/5 stars, because i felt no climax or build up or anything, and it was pretty monotonous. but, i give them credit for the special effects which were relatively okay, and the pretty landscapes! hahaha. but really, it's mindless violence and you get really accustomed to the sound of movie gun shots after watching it.
and the camera work pretty much gave me motion sickness-like feelings D:

it was awesome to catch up with the guys though. can't wait for class gathering on friday :D movies and BEYA for the win!

on another note: zomg jam session tomorrow i feel underpractised uh oh D:

M.A.D CAMP :D

prefects camp these past four days and three nights has really changed me as a person. i really feel like i learn something intangible, something i'll keep with me for the rest of my life. and since i have a relatively short attention span, it says alot. here are some of the many things that went well, for me as a person and for the camp in it's entirety:

1. i've improved as a performer and dared to play and sing even infront of the 30 plus people in my bunk, and i could play for the camp showcase and for the PB's practices :D
2. everyone in SCPB bonded alot and got to know each other very well, in terms of character and their funny little habits (:
3. i learn not to put myself down and be sure of myself, and that every prefect has earned a place in the board of their own accord.
4. the facilitators and organisers did very well and i'm sure everyone learnt alot from them about the many aspects of being in the board such as leadership, teamwork, communication, public speaking and taking initiative.
5. everyone loved my SCPB shirt design! yay :D
6. i think everyone learnt that they have to speak out to have their ideas heard and taking initiative is a huge part of being a leader.

we learnt so much more than i can possibly explain in words. i would like to thank everyone for this meaningful experience, with special thanks to:
- investiture music comm: thank you guys for being so inspirational and i really learnt alot in improving as a musician from watching you. i'm glad i had the chance to bond with you guys (: ily!
- SID: thank you for being such an awesome comm! you all did so well for the comm dance and working on orientation and the comm presentation. you were great to bunk with too! we are by far probably the most enthu comm there is and i'm so proud to be a preSIDent :D i love you!
- all sec 2s: you guys were so amazing and i'm so happy that we bonded with one another. i think it was awesome we worked together so quickly to choreograph the mass dance with it looking so fabulous ;D we are so bonded yo :D i love you all!
- ruth lee (my roomie!): thank you so much for coming for campGLOW, i'm sorry i cried i think i should've had more self control. and we really have to go kidnap those leprechauns and get the pot of gold cause it's rightfully ours! you'll always be an awesome SC prefect in our hearts so smile k? :D ily.
- group 3: cooking lunch with you guys was so great even though we over-estimated our appetites! haha. it was such an enjoyable camp cause you guys were so friendly and i'm glad we could become really open with each other and help each other out during discussions :D so thank you and i love you!
- all prefects: i love the board so much now and i would be amazed if i could find enough love for all you guys! we really worked together to keep the spirit of camp up and i think we really are now striving to Make A Difference :D

i've packed my bags, re-strung my guitar and i'm all set for prefects' camp.

bandmates, i'm gonna be at camp for 4 days and 3 nights.

anyway, i just tasted the worst lollipop ever today. hahaha.
yesterday, i went out with 2 of the bbrs! :D there should've been more though. WHERE'S THE BBR SPIRIT YO. hahaha. it was really fun catching up with my 6G classmates (:
huiting and brenda are pretty amusing :D i think there was alot of stoning and trying to fill the silence hah. but it was awesome in the end.
we sat in the library reading kiddie books! YAY. we're super cool. let's do it again sometime guys, FOR SURE! :D

went for the young leaders' day seminar today and i have to say i was really enlightened.
plus i have my bolero now. hahaha wanqi and tricia, you guys can borrow it if you want haha :D
i think it was great that we went for the talks. every speaker gave me useful insight.
i really do feel quite changed as a person, and i'm going to work to improve and i think that's really what it's all about.
i think nick vujicic is freaking cool and awesome.
results for elections will be out tomorrow! exciting. *rubs hand together* haha.
