singfest yesterday! i thought the bands were great. here's a rundown.
1. Stacie Orrico: THIS GIRL CAN REALLY SING LIVE! it was very good. she was belting out high notes like nobody's business. very friendly (:
2. Jamie Scott and The Town: ZOMG JAMIE SCOTT IS SO CUTE LIVE :D hahaha. his voice was really good. it was hilarious hearing everyone around me complaining that they couldn't understand his accent. i think his accent is too cute to be true and for the record, i could understand him (: like. "this place is really hot isn't it? i just left my water here, and it's been on stage for 5 minutes and it's hot. i'm drinking hot water here!" awww.
3. OneRepublic: wow the energy level was like whoa compared to jamie's gentle acoustics. loved the songs and how they blended 'with or without you' with apologise (: talented musicians every single one of them. ryan on keys and vocals was switching from piano to keyboard to guitar. it was awesome. the entire vibe (:
4. Panic At The Disco: PANIC. AT. THE. FREAKING. DISCO. ZOMFG. YAY. they were so awesome. i was worth getting banged around. brendon was so cool. like in his kanye west shades LOL. ryan was like half-smiling as usual (: and jon's voice was so strong and deep. not really scary. SPENCER WAS SO CUTE WITH HIS FLOWERY DRUMSET! :D brendon was super sweaty but i would've hugged him anyway if i had a chance. he was like: "during the entire song, my pants were like constantly dropping." hahaha the crowd was like: TAKE IT OFFFFFF! and he should've man. LOL. yay. setlist was:
- Pas De Cheval: wonderfully delivered. partying like the wind. i felt that the entire crowd was ignoring spence and jon though. MEANOS.
- But It's Better If You Do: the mic died halfway! brendon was looking so confused and blur. anyways, the crowd sang for him so it was okay. then he swapped mics with ryro so it worked out from there.
- Lying Is The Most Fun A Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off: whoa kay high energy ftw! the music build-up was phenomenal and it was sung wonderfully.
- I Write Sins, Not Tragedies: i loved brendon's acoustic work on this one :D i just love panic luh gosh.
- That Green Gentleman: panic dedicated this to the pussycat dolls hahaha. jon was like: do you think i have a shot with them? brendon: okay let's dedicate the next song to the pussycat dolls and maybe you'll get a shot with them. hahahaha. brendon was super spazz when doing this song hahaha!
- Nine In The Afternoon: brendon going cross-eyed during this song = PRICELESS. i guess staring at bden the hardest for this entire song.
- Camisado: ryro didn't do backups on this like he usually does! D: but jon was awesome on backing. loved this song on the album. loved it live. LOVE IT.
- The Only Difference Between Martyrdom And Suicide Is Press Coverage: when they said they were playing the first track of their first album i was like: MUST GET CAMERA. MUST VIDEO TAPE FOR NICOLE. *FOAMS AT MOUTH*
- There's A Good Reason These Tables Are Numbered Honey, You Just Haven't Thought Of It Yet: yay. i adore this song! the instrumental filling the trumpet parts was priceless. what can i say i love every single song :D the minutes just FLEW BY.
- She's A Handsome Woman: you could totally tell that ryro was enjoying every second of this song. super enthu when he was playing the opening riff!
- Mad As Rabbits: ryro didn't do backing for the entire show and i thoughted he'd do mad as rabbits at least but he didn't D: *pouts* i loved how cute brendon looked when he sang "we must reinvent love" and he had that little heart sign with his hands up in the air. AWWWWW.
panic were awesome performers! and i really wanted to meet them but i couldn't.
5. Jason Mraz: ZOMG THAT MAN IS SUCH A TALENTED SINGER. amazing musician. the only one who opened by singing "come on everybody how you feeling how you feeling tonight" it was so awesome and fun :D a true showman. like the best skatter ever! oh gosh he has like a paper-thin tongue? super flexible (: song i particularly enjoyed were the remedy, i'm yours, the dynamo of volition and BUTTERFLY! :D i was just waiting for him to do i'm yours and butterfly man. butterfly was so HOT. shaking hips. the vibes was incredible. his chord changes were INSANE! i thoroughly enjoyed that performance. in-cre-di-ble!
after the show, i met aisyah, then i met umi and umi was super awesome and brought me to see jamie scott. he was like the only awesome person to stand outside for like an hour to meet fans and take pictures. SUPER NICE :D then i got a panic poster and headed home. YAY. i'll post the pics once i get the stuff onto the com ;D I REALLY WANTED TO MEET PANIC I WAS EMO FOR THE WHOLE OF TODAY. STUPID CRAP D:
