i love my friends.

and i thank ann and liyan for making my wednesday-thursday absolutely wonderful :D (even if we did fall asleep at 5:15am)

tell me i'm a wreck.

today was really interesting :D i wasn't really myself today. i think it's either not being able to fall asleep or just being perpetually giggly today but, yeah. here's a series of interesting (okay, maybe not that interesting) events that occurred today!

1) got on the bus this morning to head to choir, guy from JC smiled at me. it was weird, and i totally thought that i had something on my face lol. but i smiled back, strangely enough.
2) went out to go guitar shopping with calista, smiled at the salesman who remembered me from last time. it was weird, because i totally don't do shizz like that!
3) headed to maestro guitar with calista, and talked to the sales guy for about 20 mins. talked about guitars and the weather, which was kinda strange considering i was hiding behind my mum the first time i went to get my guitar there. told him to get well soon and bid him farewell.
4) went for dinner at United Square. ran to look at a skunk soft toy in watson's, and i totally blurted out "Ooooh is this a skunk?" to a random lady beside me and started stroking the toy. this made the lady go "Yeah, it is. Cute right?" Then she smiled at me like i was a five-year-old.

LMAO.

i need distraction!
i should seriously stop reading slash cause it kinda makes me emotional? yeah.
but i've found a lot of inspiration these two days.
a few songs on the way and i've been inspired to write somemore! :D
though i feel like a complete and total slacker! i have to get some work done soon.

i heart sleepovers! tomorrow night with liyan and ann :D i'm kinda excited, but worried i'll be super exhausted.

and huiying's going off tomorrow night for a month D: i'm gonna miss my cousin!
oh well, at least she comes online a lot :D

anyway, I LOVE MY SUPER SUPPORTIVE MUM :D when i finally make it with music, she's gonna be the first on my thank yous (: ily mummy.
it's like. in a sea of people saying: uh... yeah it was okay, (btw, i hate it when people tell me my covers are okay cause it's like my covers suck just not that badly D:) my mum keeps me going!

friday going out with hannah, isabel and liyan was fun :D then hanging out with ann and liyan at liyan's house with rock band was awesome! thanks for being super fun!
btw, emily lew and kelly tan are stalkers! (just kidding, no seriously.)

yesterday at apec was kinda a blast, but something that was said really upset me.
but i'm over it! and my sis helped me see things through my teacher's eyes for a second.
thank you to the people who made my day great: eveline, frances, gwen, kirsten, jacquelyn, patricia, ruth, liting, farisha, wei li, steph and all the amazing choristers who are awesome :D

argh my nose has bled like 7 times in the past two days (not that kind, if you guys were thinking otherwise.) i'm so seeing a doctor tomorrow D: i'm starting to feel light-headed, which is really bad. anyway!

anyway, prefects was pretty fun on friday :D i heart the emo i-sit-in-a-shady-corner gang haha. props to kiran for playing the piano incredibly well (to mask my horrible guitar :X), ily!
also, i saw a true example of attw. ty for the relevant example, you're kinda shameless :X
other than a couple of ~awkward moments, everything went rather well. oh yes. except for one thing. (menacing music being played) SOMEONE TOUCHED MY GUITAR WITHOUT MY PERMISSION :O i'm sure they didn't have bad intentions, but it seriously scared me shitless okay. please don't do it ever again. if you hurt my baby in any way, i will hunt you down. -this i swear-
oh oh (sorry for the horrible irrelevance), BUT MDM WAHIDA TOTALLY MADE MY DAY! she was like: "huijun." all of a sudden. and i was so scared i was gonna be scolded or something, then she told me: "you're really very talented. i hope we'll be hearing from you for prefects' investiture." and i was like. ~squeeeeeeeee :D

omegalomaniac.

it sucks how bands just disband and go on indefinite hiatus just like that.
listening to more fall out boy (still one of my favourite bands! probably my favourite.) and i feel like they really treat their music like a craft. it's like beautiful art (: but they're on indefinite hiatus and it really frustrates me 'cause panic! at the disco split in half this year too :'(
fob never fails to put me in a good mood :D i heart alpha dog so here it is! (so totally gonna buy believers never die. without a single doubt man.)

went to little india for art today, then went to bras basah for art supplies. I HEART THE AEP GIRLS, seriously.

so sorry i fell sick and left prefects' camp early, i really feel horrible for doing so, but i'm happy to know that everyone is probably resting well now. (MEAN CHEM TEACHER BULLIED MY PREFECTS. BOO HER!)

anyway, i just wanted to blog because i honestly learned something today.
earlier today i felt left out and sort of in-apt for a period of time. but then someone reminded me that i mattered. that i could help someone, and make an impact on their lives. so much that when they need help, they immediately come look for me. and it feels amazing.
and then i think back, and i regret being so stupid for wanting to just give up being strong, and just break down. if i can help just one person, then heck, it's worth it.

why oh why.

i'm sick again D:
stupid cold.
it has made me rather irritable, and considering what's been going on i do think it's actually justified.

i don't like the way i am assumed to be useless unless i prove my ability immediately. in case they haven't noticed, if people like me are not given an opportunity, i go hunting for one.
but i never get one because they make sure people who apparently 'have not proven their worth' don't get the chance to gain experience. then why were we even selected? how can we help if we have nothing to help with?
they always give the same people all the work. this is counter-productive. not only do those people get stressed, no one else gets to better themselves to help the common cause.
just because a person does not show emotion, that does not make them stable. in fact, it is in my opinion that most people who bottle their emotions will in the end explode. so yes, open your eyes, seriously.
i thought we were all equals here, but it seems that some of us are not proving our worth in your eyes. and we all know that is biased bull.

no offence meant, just saying how i feel.
injustice is all around the world, but i honestly expected more from such a mature group of individuals.

FANCY THIS PROGRESSION PERFORMANCE AT iSPARK TODAY WAS BOOMZ! :D
i think the biggest success was not the being on stage itself, but it was the bonding we did when we were backstage and after the performance :D it's great to be able to like talk and just chill out and be comfortable with each other, that way we can make better music!

here are some highlights:
- people cheering halfway through catch your wave
- cheering after disenchanted
- laughing and joking about the performances with the guys
- heading to chinatown and back with jamin (who is a penguin!)
-getting crammed into the backseat of darrel's car with the guys
- macs at King Albert Plaza
- BAND BONDING!

so to darrel, jamin, meng and yao yuan:
good job, i'm so super proud of all of you. darrel, you've come so far and i'm so glad that like you're super awesome at guitar now (: jamin, you were so nervous, but you manage to cope with the pressure and sing well (: meng, you're a legend at guitar and even though you felt sick you persisted and that's really admirable (: yao yuan, you're a genius at drums even though you're insane when you play, good luck for eoys, thanks for being there (:
